I  am Morag, an adventurer, painter, storyteller, poet, and photographer,. I weave together my personal experiences, reflections, and memories through colours, words, and images. My art is a reflection of the places I’ve explored and the emotions stirred within me. From wild, windswept coastlines to serene, untouched forests, nature is not just my backdrop - it is my constant companion and a source of profound inspiration.
I was born and raised in Yorkshire in the North Yorkshire moors area and in the high Dales around Reeth. My childhood was spent exploring deserted beaches, primrose woods and heather topped moors so I guess that’s where my love of nature and wildlife began. Although born in Yorkshire, I am deeply proud of having Celtic roots. In fact, the name of my website means 'Beautiful Nature' in Scots Gaelic, reflecting my heritage as well as my sense of awe at the natural world.
I used to live aboard my boat after retiring and sailed in lots of places but I particularly liked the Ionian Islands, Turkey and the Caribbean, it was a wonderful life. It was interesting and fun but it is quite hard work living aboard pulling anchors and winching sails. When you cross oceans you have to be able to cope with all sorts of different weather conditions and challenges.
I now enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle though I do miss sailing at night under the stars.
